| Intrusive thoughts can be a WHOLE LOT They steal our joy, authenticity, sleep, and our ability to stay present in this moment Here are my 1, 2, 3 steps for stopping or at least turning down the volume of your intrusive thoughts: 1. Activities you enjoy (not ones you think you “should” – things that actually bring you joy) 2. Practices to be present with and process your feelings (intrusive thoughts, especially ones about things to do can be a protective reaction from your brain to keep you “safe” from big feels as you can’t feel those things if you’re endlessly busy). If you’re not sure what practices to try check out my dailyish presence moments or respond to this email for tailored suggestions 3. Nourishing rest (Read more on my tips for restful sleep here) And if you’re finding being present with those feelings to be overwhelming on your own I’d be honored to guide you and help you tie up those intrusive thoughts 😉 |
| Because now is a beautiful time to start telling yourself a new story One that isn’t narrated by intrusive thoughts I’m handing you your favorite writing implement |
