FAQ
What can I expect from my session?
To start, we’ll chat about how you’re feeling, any intentions you have, what’s going on in your life, etc and tailor your presence session to how you feel in that moment
I’ll lead you through an individualized presence session based on our conversation
Each session will be different, just as vibrant as you are! All you need to do is show up and be honest, I’ll take care of the rest
What should I wear?
Please wear clothes you feel comfortable in.
The asanas (movements/poses) of yoga are able to be practiced in every day clothes. Personally, I prefer clothes that are stretchy and soft, so they accompany and support me as I move.
Be sure whatever you wear will be good for bending over, laying down and being upside down.
I don't live nearby, can I still book a presence session with you?
Of course! I offer my presence sessions in person and via Zoom, and I wholeheartedly encourage you to choose whichever option feels more accessible and supportive for you in this moment.
It would be my honor and pleasure to hold sacred space for you whether that is online via Zoom or in person – the medicines are potent regardless of which option you choose 🙂
What props do I need?
A yoga mat is a great place to start. I can always bring one for you if you don’t have one yet.
The great thing about yoga is that there are so many options and ways to adjust poses, so they are just right for you.
No props are needed, but as you get into your practice you might decide you’d enjoy a yoga bolster pillow, block, and/or strap to help with deep stretches and supporting your yoga practice.
If you’re not sure what you’d enjoy, reach out—I’m happy to make recommendations.
I’m not flexible, will yoga be right for me?
Yoga will be fabulous for you!
The deep stretches help to release the inner fascia increasing both mobility and flexibility.
We meet your body where it’s at. You’re enough just as you are.
If you have specific flexibility or mobility goals, let me know and we’ll work together to achieve your goals!
I have injuries, will I be able to do yoga?
Absolutely! Yoga is very beneficial for rehabbing injuries and for having many different versions of poses, so you can feel comfortable and strong while practicing.
Be sure to share any injuries you might have, and I’ll make sure your yoga flows are catered to your needs and goals.
Is yoga a spiritual practice/religion?
Yoga is an ancient philosophy.
What we have come to view as yoga in Western society is often only the physical movements and poses. This is just one aspect of a complex and dynamic philosophy.
There is so much rich knowledge and wisdom within the different branches of yogic philosophy. These branches are meant to be woven into your life (with whatever your spiritual/religious beliefs may be).

What is breathwork (pranayama)?
Pranayama is part of the 8 limbs of yoga. Pranayama is yogic breath work – the practice of regulating one’s breath (prana) through different techniques and exercises.
Prana means breath and also the energy of the universe – by tapping into our prana, we are connecting ourselves to the energies and magicks of the universe. Time is no longer linear and we are able to illuminate the true essence of who we are.
I'm new to breathwork. What should I know?
Welcome! What a wonderful practice to be embarking upon.
We’ll start small and with a practice that feels both manageable and enjoyable to you.
Please share any concerns/goals you have, and I’ll incorporate them into any pranayama sessions I lead you through.
And remember presence sessions will be tailored to you in the moment, so breath work may or may not be a part of it depending on what you need
It’s understandable to feel nervous or apprehensive! Please share those feels with me and we’ll curate each session to you
It's hard for me to sit still. Will a presence session be right for me?
That’s totally okay! I want you to show up as your fullest, most authentic self!
Your presence session will meet you where you’re at and if that involves lots of movement great! We’ll still practice pausing and slowing down to see what is illuminated
You’re enough as you are – I would never want to change or shame the wonderful person you are
